Although the Season has just finished, it is already time to plan for next Season.
The League Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 19th of June 2013 at Caernarfon Town Football Supporters Club, at 7 30p.m. prompt. Each team must be represented at the AGM.
Subscriptions of £90 per team, £180 for new teams, , a total of £90 or £180, must be paid on the evening. Any late payments will incur a £10 administration charge. No payments will be accepted later than seven days after the AGM.

All proposals and items for inclusion on the AGM agenda must be forwarded, in writing, to the Secretary no later than Wednesday 12th of June 2013, any items received after this date will not be considered.
The first event of the season got underway at Rileys Pool club Chester on the weekend, and as usual there were plenty of surprise results. The new format of re-draws every round went down well with all entrants and only added to what was a fantastic day of pool.
Congratulations to Andrew Hughes (Newtown) AKA (Drew) who beat Adrian Naggington (Oswestry) 8 7 in the final. Andrew came through the event destroying everyone in his path with a devastating performance of potting of which everyone could only applaud. On his way to winning the first ever NWST he beat Mark Cook (Chester) 6 0, Carl Owen (Bangor) 6 3, Danny Garston (Wrexham) 6 3, Dan Fletcher (Caernarfon) 6 0, Wayne Smith (Newtown) 7 1 and Adrian Naggington (Oswestry) in the final 8 7.
This was the first event of the NWST and with a full house of 64 players attending and a reserve list of players wanting to enter, it really does look to be a great season for everyone in Mid and North Wales.
Just to remind players that the top four players in the rankings will qualify for the PFW Welsh squad for 2013. The rankings will follow shortly.

As usual we also run a plate event for all 32 players who lost in the first round. All money in was paid out in prize fund.
Evan Williams (Bangor) beat Jamie Baines (Oswestry) in the plate event final 3 - 1.

The new North Wales Committee along with the PFW are pround to announce the first ever North Wales Festival of Pool, to be played at Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park, Rhyl in September 2012. The event will be the first opportunity for league teams in Mid and North Wales to play off for the title of North Wales League Team Champions.
I have attached a poster for you distribution within your league. Please note that affiliated leagues will have the first option to field 4 teams from their league before we accept any other entries. We can only allow 40 teams to enter this event so please dont leave it to late.
All teams have to register on-line proir to payment being made, and it will be done on a first come basis.
You will note that non affiliated leagues pay just £10 per player more to enter the event.
Juniors (U18) and Under 21 players pay a reduced fee for entry as agreed by the new committee.

Heres the news from the PFW prior to the WEPF World Campionships...
All PFW teams for the World championships 2012 have now been selected.
Blackpool's Imperial Hotel is the destination courtesy of the WEPF and the EPA for hosting this year's event.
The Teams have all but packed their bags and ready for the off, this year we have representations in the Mens, Ladies, juniors, Wheelchair and the Over 50's., plus of course a great showing in all the singles categories.
Squads all kitted out in their new polo shirts, and everyone is looking forward to what will be an amazing championships.
This year there are 14 Nations taking part, so the event promises to be the biggest one yet.
Team Wales have a huge wealth of experience in this event and despite the Men's team not making the cut last year, this year is looking good. As No 3 Seeds will be a good bet this time around.
A couple of new additions to the Mens "A" team in Paul Marubbi and Kyle Edwards following their excellent performance at the Europeans in Dublin, they have been rewarded with a spot at the Worlds. The men also welcome Jon Bushnell into the team after finishing number one on the PFW tour from 2011. Wayne will be looking to rally the troops for a good old go this time round along with me doing some donkey work.

This is the fifth event win out of seven for Andy on the NWOT, showing his vast array of ability at any rules.
